Here In this post, we will look into the specification of BeagleV

CPU:

  • BeagleV is powered by SiFive U74 RISC-V Dual-core processor

  • It has 2MB L2 cache

  • 2x 4GB LPDDR4 SDRAM which makes in total as 8GB RAM

  • Able to configure up to 128 Global Interrupts per core

  • NVDLA Engine which has Deep Learning Accelerator


Computing Vision:

  • Vision DSP Tensilica-VP6 for computing Vision

  • AI built-in for real-time vision and AI at the edge

  • Although this is an out-dated version because Vision Q7 DSP is introduced and has more features than VP6.

  • Moreover, VP6 was introduced in the year 2016.


Video:


  • Video decoder up to 4K@60FPS

  • Also supports Dual 2K recording at 30FPS

  • 1xHDMI which supports 1080P@60fps


Peripherals:

  • A USB Type-C port for providing power (5V@3A) to the board.

  • 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity.

  • 4 x USB 3.0 ports for plugging in a mouse, a keyboard, pen drives or any other peripherals.

  • 1 x Gigabit Ethernet port for gigabit internet connectivity.

  • 1 x 3.5 mm audio jack for plugging in audio peripherals.

  • microSD card slot for storing data and the operating system on a memory card.

  • 40-Pin GPIO Header for connecting sensors, cameras, displays, etc.
